Weekly Reflection

 Week 8 (31/7/23 - 4/8/23)

During the last week I completed one unit. I taught them grammar topics like simple present tense, Adjective etc. I conducted an achievement test of 50 marks. The pupils responded well. I corrected the answer sheets and distributed among them. I discussed the question paper and explained the common errors made by them. I gave them positive reinforcement. On the last few days I conducted revision classes. The PTA meeting of secondary students were conducted in the school. The headmistress asked us to assist teachers in arranging the classes. 

The second phase of school internship gave us great experiences. We 've learnt many new things about class management. On the last day we met the staff and teachers. We signed our attendance register and left the school.

Weekly Reflection

 Week 7 ( 24/7/23 - 29/7/23) 

During this week I completed the story ' The little round red house'. I showed them an apple and cut them into two pieces to show them the little round red house mentioned in the story. It was a nice experience. The pupils were enthusiastic.

I discussed previous year question papers in the class and gave students an acquaintance to the pattern and form of the question papers. I asked them to do the text book activities of already taken chapters. Most of the students did the activities correctly. I discussed the common errors made by them. The classes went well. I was able to seek the attention of students.

 Week 6 (19/7/23 - 22/7/23) 

 During this week, I started a new poem named ' We 're the word ' . It is a song by Michael Jackson. In order to give students a thorough idea about the poem I showed them a video of Michael Jackson performing the song. They observed it with great enthusiasm. Some of them performed the song in the class. I ended the poem very well and started a new unit. The story ' The little round ref house began. It was an interesting a story. Students were curious to know the climax twist of the story. 

The classes went well. I was able to manage the class well. I was able to seek the attention of students.

 Week 5 ( 10/7/23 - 14/7/23) 

During this week I started to teach a poem titled 'Taj Mahal' by Rabindranath Tagore. The classes were taken according to the lesson plan. I was well prepared with all types of teaching aids. I taught students to appreciate poem and taught them some of the important poetic devices. I was able to seek the attention of students. My confidence to teach developed day by day. 

  I was able to check the level of understanding of students through their response. Pupils responded actively. I was able to maintain discipline.

 Week 4 ( 1/7/23 - 7/7/23) 

I started to teach a new story named 'The boy who drew cats ' written by Hasegawa Takejiro. I introduced the story using slides and other activity aids. I felt that using ICT helps to seek the attention of students. It helps to engage students and make concepts clear and easy for them. We were given exam duties at the UP section. 

As the days went on I started learning new things from my experiences. I slowly improved in managing the class well. The classes went well. I was able to seek the attention of students. I was able to understand the individual differences amon the students and started treating them accordingly.
